May 2009 Vacation to the other side of Oregon

Keith and I left home for Joseph, Oregon on May 11. We stopped off in Pendleton to see the Underground Tour, finally, that we talked about seeing several years ago.

It was really interesting and very lengthy. It was well worth the price of admission. In fact, we might do it again someday.

The first picture is the very first room we entered below ground. Keith is standing around a table of poker players. Once a year they have real people in period dress posing in these rooms. We missed this by a week.

I caught a couple of pictures with interesting orbs in them. Some people say it's only dust, but why did I catch only one? Seems odd. Especially underground where it's dirty and dusty!

The next picture shows the back wall of the little cabin Keith rented for us in Joseph, over by Wallowa Lake. We stayed there two wonderful nights. I really fell in love with this place and the little red leather couch. I never thought I would like red furniture, but they put everything together so nicely.... Out the large window behind the couch you could see up into the moutains. I sat there and watched the snow start at the top and work it's way down like an avalanche....it was breath-taking.

Keith booked one night at the Geiser Grand Hotel in Baker. The hotel is said to be haunted and people have seen a woman in period dress stand at the balcony right outside the room we rented. I took this picture at about 10 pm, right outside our door. As soon as I took it I saw that I had caught this mist with orbs in it.... so I quickly took another.... but the mist was gone. Another interesting picture. TAPS was scheduled to check out the hotel this Fall but I haven't heard anything. I would really like to see what they might find here.

The last picture is of Keith and I on the couch in the room at the Inn of the Seventh Mountain in Bend, OR. Bryan was so very sweet to give us a gift certificate for a two nights stay. It fit very well into our plans this year!!!! What a treat!
